Jovian Language Family

Jovian is a language familiy originating from the various pidgin languages formed during the early colonisation of the Jovian moons and the Trojan asteroids. It is notable for having an extremely flexible grammar structure and minimizing the amount of words needed for day-to-day use. While there are relatively few native speakers its various dialects are often used as trade languages where Anglic is not commonly spoken.

The original Jovian language is notable for being the first recognised language not formed on Earth, and it remained a neutral lingua franca in most of the outer Sol system until it was overtaken by Solar Anglic roughly two centuries after the Enlightenment.

Today Jovian is primarily used in a broad area centered on the Eridanus constellation.
