Successor World

When a colony with a particularly strong ideology gets annexed by a different nation with a conflicting ideology, this can result in rebellion and guerillia warfare. To avoid this, the conquering state often provides a way for dissidents to peacefully leave and settle a new world elsewhere. A practice seen as early as the Jovian war. This often results in a colony that is culturally almost identical to what the first world initially was. Often they are even named after the world left behind.

During the Second Diaspora many worlds were absorbed into the Solar Union, prompting successor colonies that were also absorbed into the union several centuries later. This has resulted in a shell third, fourth or even fifth generation successor colonies surrounding the borders of the Union at it's peak just before the Frontier Revolution.

Notable successor worlds include:
* Galileo
* New Ceres
* Nukronos
