United Ceres Commonwealth

The United Ceres Commonwealth is a defunct polity that existed between 2284CE with the signing of the Cerean Independence Declaration, ending at 2480CE when the SU formally annexed Ceres and its populations. It was commonly referred to as Ceres by natives and foreigners alike, and during much of the 23th century served as a major trading hub of Sol. It's successor, Ceres is the literal manifestation of the UCC with much the same society and trading culture as a major part of their identity.

The Background of the Original United Ceres Commonwealth (UCC) established during the colonization of Sol. The small colony world flourished as it became a hub of Belter Operations. The Origins of the UCC stems from the old nations of Terra, most prominently the United Kingdom, India, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Nigeria, Bangladesh and Canada. These nations are all from the Commonwealth of Nations and it is within the establishment these actors and many more smaller segments of Commonwealth members decided they wished to escape the terror of Earth during the chaotic period. Using collective funds significant chunks of the populace took to the stars and decided to colonize the small, almost idealistic dwarf planet of Ceres.

The most prominent members of Earth citizens who left for Ceres includes the then reigning monarch of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, King George the VI, the Prime Minister of Canada and Indian entrepreneur Eashan Bharat, CEO of Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), a major manufacturing Corporation that dominated Cerean industry for hundreds of years.
